In 1986 as aspiring magazine publishers we turned our dream of owning a magazine into reality……here’s your chance to do the same! We’ve now decided to share our experience with others so they too can enjoy the benefits of owning their own magazine. We are seeking motivated, driven, entrepreneurial individuals to partner magazine launches across the UK. With our help your dream can be turned into a profitable business idea!
Choose to start your own business with us and we will supply you with an easy to follow manual on how to publish your own magazine – the blueprint for success. Not only that, RMC goes further: we will provide an intensive 2 day course at the RMC Head Office in Sheffield featuring training in sales, editorial and design skills. You will also have the opportunity to meet key personnel from the sales, design, editorial and distribution departments. They’ve years of experience and they will be on hand to answer all your questions. Talk to them rather than just read about their experiences!
That’s not all - you’ll be able to benefit from RMC’s support in many other ways including advice on a daily basis if necessary (for the first 12 months of your trading), fantastic print prices earned through our bulk buying and access to a vast library of editorial articles. You too can now enjoy the kind of independence, personal achievement and profit that John and Martin have earned as magazine publishers through their publishing business. We'll show you how a great home based business idea can be turned into a profitable business idea!
The Regional Magazine Company (RMC) was started nearly 25 years ago by two Sheffield journalists, John Murphy and Martin Edwards. Operating from a one room office and sharing a typewriter we launched Westside as Sheffield’s first upmarket free magazine serving the affluent districts of the city.
A winning combination of high quality editorial, design and informative local advertising ensured clients enjoyed unparalleled levels of response. They came back to buy more and more advertising.
Further launches followed and the company now publishes nine free titles plus a range of specialist commissions. The company employs over 30 people and has a turnover of over 2 million pounds.
